Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Heritage Sweater

One of the best souvenirs to be had at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics is the gorgeous Olympic Heritage Sweater designed by Aritzia, a Vancouver company celebrating their 25th anniversary this year with 41 stores in major cities across Canada and the USA.

With their flagship store located at 1110 Robson Street, Aritzia is proud to be an official supplier of 2010 Olympic Costumes which include a beautiful Vintage Ski Coat, an adorable Cocoon Parka, and my favorite, the Olympic Heritage Sweater.

According to Aritzia, this amazing textured sweater was "inspired by the knit and woven heritage of Canada's First Nations artisans; each sweater is original, hand-knit, and finished with a color palette influenced by the sky, forest, and ocean."   The First Nations influence is carried into artwork on the hand-tooled belt; the entire ensemble is very representative of the West Coast of British Columbia.

It is rumored that select Aritzia stores will be carrying the Olympic Heritage Sweater during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games; if you're lucky enough to be a medal bearer during the games, you get to keep this amazing souvenir!

My Favorite Things.
